BellAlert — Privacy Policy

BellAlert is a notification app for a self-hosted home bell system. It is built to know as little about you as possible.

What the app stores

Your bell subscriptions, per-bell preferences (sound, vibrate, mute, disappearing), ring history, and app-icon choice are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.

What leaves your device

To deliver notifications, the app registers with Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). This produces an anonymous push token — a random identifier that lets a notification be routed to your device. The app also subscribes that token to the bell names you choose. The token is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and is used for nothing except delivering bell notifications.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no personal information collected.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
• No selling or sharing of data — there is no data to sell.

Third-party services

Notification delivery uses Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging, which process the push token described above as infrastructure providers.
